Applying to a UWC
Each year, the UWC National Committee of Great Britain provides students with the opportunity to attend UWC schools and colleges. Just like the UWCs themselves, the admissions procedure is very unique. These pages are designed to help you through the process of applying. Just click on the headings on the left for all the information you will need to apply to UWC through the British National Committee. The first thing you should check is that you meet the eligibility criteria to allow you to apply through us. If you do not meet the criteria you may be eligible to apply through another national committee, or directly to the college. Applicants who do meet the eligibility criteria should then read through the 'How to Apply' page. This explains the selection process, including the application form and the interview should you be short-listed. The 'Timeline' tells you all important dates in the selection process, the first most important one being January 13th 2012 - the date by which we must receive your application. The FAQ pages provide support for applicants, parents and referees. Please take time to read these thoroughly before filling in the application form. In order to cover the administrative costs of the selection process, we request a contribution of £25 from each applicant. This money is used exclusively for the selection process (travel expenses, equipment etc) and exceptions can be made in cases of financial hardship. |
